Why should we do this every day?

For two reasons:

The first is that corals can change their dosing needs. This depends on the one hand on the positive factor, which is their growth and the need for better environmental conditions, or on the negative factor, i.e. the reaction to stress.

If the demand for dosing of the corals changes and we do not react in time, the administered dose will be too high or too low. In both cases, we will lead to stress and the demand will decrease, as a result of which the corals will develop slower.

The goal of almost all aquarists is healthy and fast growth of corals. A great help here are automatic water testing devices that independently introduce dosing corrections.

The second reason is dosing failure. If something’s not working properly, we need to detect it as soon as possible. Checking the entire system to make sure everything works fine is part of a cyclic task described in more detail here: Cyclic tasks: Let’s check if everything works!

However, when analyzing the dosage and intake of elements by corals, we can also notice irregularities in the operation of the dosing system.

In marine aquaristics, it is much better to prevent problems than to fight them, so it’s worth getting into the habit of checking individual aspects regularly. Thanks to this, we will have everything under control, the environment will be stable and our animals will be healthy and beautiful.
