IceCap FP – new flow pumps

Table of Contents

Introduction

IceCap Aquarium Flow Pumps (FP) is a series of flow pumps that have garnered great interest and recognition among marine aquarists for their efficiency, energy savings, and affordability. Additionally, these pumps were featured at the Reefapalooza 2024 in California, the largest aquarium show in the USA.

Benefits of IceCap FP pumps

IceCap FP pumps are designed to provide efficient water circulation in the aquarium, which is crucial for the health and life of marine organisms. The technology used allows for the elimination of “dead zones” in the aquarium. Moreover, their modern design also makes the pumps visually appealing.

Control and Features

Each pump in the FP series is equipped with a controller that allows access to the following operating modes:

  • Pulsing: A pulsating flow that mimics natural waves, ideal for replicating natural water conditions.
  • Constant Flow: Provides continuous water circulation.
  • Stream: Stream flow that mimics marine currents, ideal for organisms that require steady flow.
  • Random: Random variability of flow.
  • Cycle: A cyclical flow that automatically changes settings throughout the day.

Additional controller options include:

  • Feeding mode: Turns off the flow for 20 minutes.
  • Night mode: Automatically reduces the flow to a minimum in response to low light levels, mimicking nighttime conditions.
  • Controller lock: Security feature to prevent accidental setting changes.

Ease of Use

IceCap FP pumps are easy to install and use, making them accessible to every marine aquarist. Magnetic mounting allows for quick and precise placement of the pump in the desired position with the ease of adjustment.

Summary

IceCap Aquarium Flow Pumps are an excellent choice for any marine aquarist looking for a reliable and economical solution to ensure proper water circulation. With available features and ease of use, they represent an attractive option on the market.

My fascination with marine aquariums began over two decades ago when I stumbled upon an article about this topic in a magazine. Since then, the underwater world has become my obsession and passion, shaping my everyday life. I started my adventure with marine aquariums with soft corals, which were my first step into this fascinating world. Over time, captivated by the diversity and beauty of SPS corals, I decided to focus on their cultivation, which continues to fill me with constant wonder.

Thanks to my experience and passion for marine aquariums, I am ready to share my knowledge and expertise with other enthusiasts in this field. I am happy to be part of the Reef Pedia community, which serves as an invaluable source of information for all marine aquarium lovers.
